This is the darker side and origin of my current character creations. The scene is title "Relief". Its part of a small undergoing story of Robotic uprising in a new age of interplanetary War. I decided to break down the stories in many parts. Some I wanted to bring a more lighter and "feel good" aspect to, instead of focusing on the war attribute. The inspiration manifested from the many other ideas I had from being in this age of "War"... so to say. This image was created for a CGnetowrk challege thats happening. It gave me quit alot of time to really create something special. During my time creating it I was able to learn many new techniques through the critique and milestones. "Rollin" is a lighter side to this story, something I can feel good to have and write then something darker and more serious then most of the stuff I've been doing.
I have alot of concept models and creations I would like to share also that never made it to the final. Mainly it desrcibes the process of desiging a 3d scene such as this. 2d elements conceived and mindmapping. I will post at a later time after I'm done with my "Rollin" series.
The details on the background are good, and the designs for the high-tech medics are awe-inspiring. But somehow, as I have noticed in the other deviations, the faces of the human characters look very smooth and radiant. Perphaps you may want to add details to the facial expressions so that they look more life-like? Like for example, a suggestion would be deeper dimples and variation of skin tones?
the other comments said it all.... your latest work is superb... but this.... damn it man... this is astunishing.. i love the world-wide destruction theme... it can be interpreted in soooo many ways it makes it impossible not to be original while describing your own version. congrat's on this piece as i do believe that this one is your best piece so far... (unless you have something hidden under your sleeve and dot want to show us )...
